AbSec NSW would like to acknowledge the recent funding to our Learning and Development Centre (LDC), made possible by funding from the NSW Government Aboriginal Affairs portfolio.
The Closing the Gap NSW Implementation Plan has committed to increasing the capability of ACCOs through funding and business opportunities. The Closing the Gap Strengthening Community Capability Grants program aims to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the NSW Government working together to overcome inequality and achieve life outcomes equal to all Australians.
Funding of $200,000 has been provided by the NSW Government to support the growth of our educational department, the AbSec Learning and Development Centre.
The funding granted through this project will support AbSec LDC trainers and assessors to build the capacity of its online learning platform and delivery.
Through this funding, AbSec will be able to expand the unique courses offered by the LDC.
This will enable greater access across broader NSW and will attract interest from regional councils and organisations.
