To make a complaint against an out-of-home care agency or register concern for a child in care

First, attempt to resolve the issue directly with the agency. If this isn’t successful, contact the NSW Ombudsman on 02 9286 1000 (Sydney metro) or 1800 451 524 (regional free call).

Support for birth families of children in care

For legal assistance regarding child protection matters, contact the Aboriginal Legal Service (NSW/ACT) on 1800 733 233 (free call).
