AbSec NSW Media Consent & Communications Agreement

As a valued member of our sector and organisation, we aim to keep you connected, informed, and engaged with our community while respecting your preferences and ensuring transparency.

Media Consent Brief

Your participation in AbSec NSW’s activities is vital to our mission. To effectively communicate and promote our work, we may use photos, videos, or audio recordings featuring you in the following:

  • Newsletters and reports
  • Social media and digital platforms
  • Event promotions
  • Advocacy and educational materials
Consent terms:
  1. Usage Purpose: By signing this agreement, you grant AbSec NSW the right to use your image, video, or voice recordings for the purposes outlined above during your membership year.
  2. Voluntary Participation: Participation is entirely voluntary, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
  3. Withdrawing Consent: To withdraw, send a written request via post or email to media@absec.org.au. While we will cease future use of your media, please note that we cannot remove content from existing publications.
  4. No Financial Compensation: You understand that you will not receive financial compensation for the use of your media in any format.

Communications Consent

As part of AbSec NSW’s enhanced communications strategy, members are automatically subscribed to our email marketing system to ensure you stay informed about:

  • Events: Updates on upcoming events, wrap-up reports, and event galleries.
  • CEO Messages: Direct insights and industry updates from our CEO.
  • Advocacy & Research: Updates on advocacy initiatives and research findings.
  • Sector Strengthening: Monthly updates on initiatives and funding opportunities.

Opting out of emails

If you prefer not to receive emails from certain categories, you can manage your preferences using the Update Profile Form located in the footer of every AbSec email campaign.
