Walking Together: Collaborative Pathways to Holistic Family Wellbeing
Our theme “Walking Together: Collaborative Pathways to Holistic Family Wellbeing” reflects the importance of respectful partnerships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, service systems, and government in ensuring that all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who interact with the Child Protection and Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) systems grow up strong in identity and connected to culture and Country.
About this gathering
The February 2026 Quarterly Sector Forum, we’ll be gathering on Wiradjuri land, and we acknowledge and pay our respects to the 8 traditional groups & custodians of these lands in Central-Western NSW.
This is more than just a gathering – it’s a chance to connect, learn, and drive meaningful action alongside sector leaders, advocates, and community members. This gathering will reinforce the importance of having Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices front and centre.
Meals provided: Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea will be served each day to ensure everyone is well-fuelled for meaningful discussions.
| Day One Open to all stakeholders — here we broaden the dialogue to include allies and partners in our journey. |
Day Two Exclusive to Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) and community members for culturally safe, in-depth conversations. |
Networking opportunities
| End Day One with a relaxed networking event to foster deeper connections within our community. | Day Two will conclude with an open forum for ACCOs and community members to share insights and coordinate efforts for a collective impact. |
