After 13 years as an Aboriginal caseworker, Aunty Deb confronted the systemic failures of child protection and co-founded Grandmothers Against Removal NSW (GMAR NSW).
GMAR has since become a powerful statewide advocate for restoration, self-determination and cultural authority. Today, Aunty Deb continues to lead, teach Dadirri, and fight for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children to remain connected to family, community and Country.
