Creativity Competition for Kids & Young People
To keep the young people in your life entertained at home during the school holidays and the COVID-19 laws, AbSec is running a Creativity Competition.
We invite creative entries with the theme: Something that best represents your community.
There are three different categories to choose from. Depending on the talents of your kids, you can submit:
- A drawing or painting (submit a picture)
- A poem or story, or
- Something made from natural material – like a collage made from leaves and sticks (submit a picture)
The AbSec Creativity Competition will end on Friday 15 May 2020.
There will be 10 prizes up for grabs, valued up to $150 each.
The competition is open to Aboriginal children and young people under the age of 18. Parents, carers or guardians must provide permission for their child or young person to enter.
HOW TO ENTER
We are looking for outstanding creativity related to the theme, ‘Something that best represents your community’.
It’s important that the entry is 100% your child’s (i.e. it doesn’t use samples or elements of anyone else’s work) and original (i.e. it hasn’t been used or submitted elsewhere).
For terms and conditions, and to submit your child’s entry, please use the button below.
Kids, make sure you have the permission of your parent, guardian or carer to enter the competition and get them to help you submit your entry.
How we’ll judge the winner
A panel of AbSec staff members will review the entries and select winners throughout the competition period.
We promise to exclude people with a conflict of interest (e.g. staff members who are related to competition entrants) from the judging panel.
Our panel won’t know who entered which piece, they will just be selecting on which entries they think best captures our theme ‘Something that best represents your community’.
